Tarmac Repairs

Compared to imprinted concrete and block paving, tarmac is relatively inexpensive to lay. However, it can have its drawbacks. The tarmac will inevitably dry out over time due to constant exposure to UV rays from the sun. This will result in loss of colour and the surface could crack up in places if this is not addressed.

Before a tarmac driveway reaches a point where digging it up and replacing it becomes the only options, the tarmac can be completely refurbished using an excellent tarmac restoration product called Tarmaseal. This water based acrylic tarmac restorer will transform the look of any tarmac that may have lost colour by putting back all the original colouring into the surface.

An outline of what the tarmac restoration process is detailed below:-

1. The tarmac is pre-treated to remove algae and moss
2. The surface is jet washed to create a clean surface
3. Tarmac chippings are removed
4. Any minor repairs to the tarmac are carried out
5. Two coats of Tarmaseal are usually applied
